Our group joins the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and starts the Cellular and Molecular Transport Laboratory, after successful 14 years of Biotransport Phenomena Laboratory at Purdue University. We will also participate in the Cancer Center at Illinois, Materials Research Laboratory, Institutional Genomic Biology and Beckman Institute. We will perform interdisciplinary research on cellular and molecular transport processes at pancreas and brain to understand pathobiology and biophysics, create new engineered disease model platforms, and discover effective therapeutic strategies.
